Brid Ní Chionnfhaolaidh, a native of Ring, Dungarvan, Waterford, began her artistic journey at Crawford Art College in Cork, where she was immersed in the vibrant art scene of the city.

She is known for her unique style of painting, which is a combination of traditional and contemporary techniques.

Brid's work draws inspiration from the landscapes and seascapes of Dungarvan and its surroundings areas often depicting scenes of coastal life, capturing the essence of her hometown with a nostalgic charm.

Through her bold use of colour and intricate compositions, she invites viewers to immerse themselves in the beauty of Waterford’s coastline. Brid’s paintings encapsulate the essence of nature with a burst of colour and emotion.

Brid explains, "I draw inspiration from the memories and atmosphere of the places I've loved and encountered, translating them onto canvas in my studio. The textures, colours, and patterns of my life inspire my paintings." Exhibited here is a painting in Bríd’s signature style, with its bold brushstrokes and vibrant palette creating a sense of energy and movement.

She has exhibited her work in numerous solo and group shows in Ireland and internationally. Her paintings have been featured in several publications and have won many awards.

In addition to her artistic pursuits, she is also involved in teaching art and running workshops for aspiring artists.
